The Launch of Victoria’s Secret TV
November 25, 2008 by Julie Bonner
CBS announced that the 2008 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show will be shown on several different platforms. You can catch the show December 3rd through the on-air broadcast, a website dedicated to the show and a Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show mobile television channel.
Victoria’s Secret TV will simulcast the show on December 3, 2008 at 10:00 pm EST/PST. It’s a dedicated channel on FLO TV and will give mobile users a virtual all-access pass to the show. It will all begin with a behind-the-scenes look, and will include clips and highlights, all on demand from their mobile phones.
Even after the show is over, the channel will show post-coverage until January 2nd.
"The dedicated Victoria’s Secret TV channel is part of our commitment to providing subscribers with the programming they demand for their mobile lifestyle," said Jonathan Barzilay, senior vice president of programming and advertising for MediaFLO USA.
On the dedicated website, www.cbs.com/victoria, viewers can chat online, watch clips and will include bios and portfolios of the models. Once the show has ended, you can watch the show in its entirety.
Victoria’s Secret is incredibly smart to utilize these online and mobile sources. TV viewing has changed and companies need to change with it.
