Model & Muse - Get the Agyness Look

June 26, 2009 by Brittany Dow

Lately I’ve been noticing a lot of Agyness Deyn look-alikes cruisin’ the streets. The blonde cropped hair, nouveau punk style, and Dr. Martens are creeping up in every hipster scene around the world. Yet, I can’t help but be intrigued as Deyn’s edgy style has landed her some big deals (Anna Sui, Burberry, and Vivienne Westwood just to name a few).  Most recently, the Australian company Bloom Cosmetics   have named an exclusive, limited edition nail polish after the UK dame. “Agyness” is an opaque,  industrial like gray that would go well with a black leather jacket, bright tights, and you guessed it Dr. Martens. Unfortunately, if you want to rock this look you’ll have to either live in Australia or know someone who does. If either of these apply then act fast because it’s only available online  while supplies last.

If you’re like me, however, and live far away from the koalas and the kangaroos there are a some other options for us to nab this look. Specifically the nail polish experts OPI have created  a similar color which they have coined Black Onyx. Check out their nail studio for other similar shades.

A supermodel like Agyness Deyn doesn’t just strut the catwalk and pose for famous photographers. What she really does is act as a muse and fashion icon who inspires us to take risks, whether that means dying your hair platinum blonde or painting your nails “Agyness”.

Heidi Klum in Germany.

Heidi Klum Germany

This week, supermodel Heidi Klum was in her homeland of Germany, attending a press conference for Douglas and DKMS LIFE, which is a cosmetics retail chain.  The press conference was held at the Intercontinental Hotel, in the city of Cologne.  Cologne?  As in, male perfume?  Bahaha.

This organization is involved in a plethora of charity work, which helps women with cancer gain access to cosmetic makeovers, various cosmetic products, and how-to lessons on applying makeup.

I’m not sure how the teddy bear was involved, but Heidi clung tightly to it during the entire photoshoot.  Click the links below to view pictures from the event.
